What to Expect with CoolPeel?
The CoolPeel treatment is quick and effective, usually taking less than one hour per session. Most clients experience a total recovery period of 7-10 days, with social downtime primarily occurring in the first five days. You’ll notice gradual improvements in skin tone and texture as the skin heals, leaving you with a refreshed and youthful glow.
Day 1: Expect a warm sensation similar to a sunburn. Swelling and redness are normal and can vary depending on skin sensitivity and the treatment area. Applying a soothing recommended aftercare treatment can help alleviate discomfort.
Day 2: Redness and swelling may persist, though they should begin to lessen. Some dryness and a rough skin texture may develop as the skin starts its natural exfoliation process. Continue with gentle, hydrating skincare as recommended.
Day 3-5: Skin may feel tight, and mild peeling or flaking can occur as old skin cells slough off. This is a positive sign of renewal. Avoid picking or scrubbing the skin; instead, keep it moisturized to aid in healing. The majority of swelling should be subsiding by these days.
Day 6-7: The majority of the dry flaking skin should be nearly gone, and skin will feel smoother and softer. Residual dryness or minimal flaking might still be present but will continue to improve. New pink super soft skin might be revealed, this typically starts at the center of the face with the edges being the last areas to resurface. It is okay to apply makeup on these days!
Days 8-10: Skin should look noticeably refreshed, with an improvement in texture and tone. Most of the initial healing is complete, and you may resume regular skincare routines if advised by your provider.
